That’s a Wrap!

bianca headshot 2015It feels like just a few months ago I had the somewhat traumatic experience of moving into college for the first time. But somehow, graduation is right around the corner! If you told me four years ago that I would be working with a student-led breast cancer prevention organization for my entire college career, I might have called you crazy. However, serendipitously, I came across Protect Our Breasts at a time when this issue was unfortunately relevant in my personal life.

Over the past four years, I have been lucky to see so much inspiring change in Protect Our Breasts – more than I could have imagined. I got the opportunity to apply my skills in launching a chapter portal and refreshing our website. We have now begun expanding to two new college campuses this semester bringing our reach to seven campuses total and have seen incredible growth in our online community. We even had our first chapter-run #earthdayogathon on April 22!

I feel very fortunate to have worked with such talented, driven, and passionate women and to have connected with industry leaders who are putting our health and safety first. Though both mine and Christina’s days on the National Executive Board are numbered, we can’t wait to see what’s in store for this team and organization. They work incredibly hard everyday for a cause that is so important to all of us; sharing a message about the purchasing choices we can make to lower our risk of a breast cancer diagnosis.

Keep it up, gals!
