What is a Chapter?

A Protect Our Breasts Chapter is an on-campus student organization that shares about environmental toxins that contribute to breast cancer. Each chapter runs independently and presidents are empowered to structure their chapter with elected board positions (i.e. vice president, treasurer, secretary …). Campus chapters plan, organize, and execute their own general body meetings, tabling events and fundraisers with support from the National Executive Board.

Becoming a Chapter President

Emma

“As the President of the Protect Our Breasts Flagship Chapter, I aim to inform my community of everyday environmental exposures that can be harmful and contribute to breast cancer. As a chapter President, I will provide information about safer alternative everyday products including brand partners that share our POB mission. It is important for the UMass community, men and women alike, to be aware of breast cancer risk.”

Emma Gotschlich, Flagship Chapter President; UMass Amherst (she/her)
